Tender: Transport Department of Delhi NCT -RFQP for establishing Automated Vehicle Inspection & Certification centre at Burari Delhi
Posted on: May 26, 2022 | Back | PrintTransport Department of Delhi NCT has published a RFQP for establishing Automated Vehicle Inspection & Certification centre at Burari Delhi.
The centre will be equipped to conduct vehicle fitness test for a wide range of vehicle categories that include Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV), Light Motor Vehicles (LMV), three and two wheelers. In addition vehicle visual inspection to check the overall reliability and safety of the vehicle.
The inspection process with highly automated equipment ensures that factors leading to major and minor defects are meticulously inspected. Some of the tests carried out during the inspection process are brake testing, suspension testing, axle and joint play testing, slide testing, noise testing and emission testing according to Indian PUCC-regulation for diesel, petrol, CNG and LPG vehicles.
The centre is focused at delivering solutions that contribute to enhancing road safety, systems that enable prompt service and extend convenience to customers.
DoT Delhi has appointed International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) for engagement of Consultancy for VIU Burari.
