Applicants are requested to apply for the following consular services through SEWA-Indian Consular Services System only. Submission of documents directly at the Embassy or by post will not be accepted.
- Attestation, Power of Attorney (POA), & Affidavits
- Attestation of commercial documents
- Death certificate
- Misc certificates/Attestations based on passport
- Life certificate
- NRI certificate
- Birth Registration of new born
Steps:
- Please visit the website: (https://indianconsularservices.mea.gov.in/consularServices/) for availing various Miscellaneous Consular Services through Online Consular Services System (SEWA Portal).
- Please Sign up and create your account using the above weblink. Activation of your account will be done by using OTP received on your registered email ID. Once your account is activated, please login to your account and apply for the required miscellaneous consular service. Users can avail multiple services with the same account. Users may follow each step and fulfill the requirements of online application process including uploading the documents and submitting the same on the portal.
- On successful submission of the application, a provisional acknowledgment receipt will be generated which the applicant can print after login to his/her account.
- After scrutiny of the documents by the Mission/Consulate, the applicant will receive a confirmation message regarding submission of physical application and payment of fees. It can be seen in the dashboard of his/her account.

- After successful scrutiny of the documents by the Embassy, the applicant may book an appointment by visiting https://www.eoibudapest.gov.in/page/appointment-for-passport-consular-visa-services/ for submission of documents in-person at the Embassy.
- After submitting the application online, on the date of appointment, applicant have to visit the Embassy with application form and provisional receipt generated from the system. The Fee for the services may be paid at the Embassy’s reception ONLY with cash.
Noteworthy points
- In addition to uploading documents at SEWA portal, following documents are required in original plus one copy each during submission at the Embassy:
- Passport
- Residence permit
- Address card
- Apostilled Marriage certificate (in case of baby name certificate)
- Original documents will be matched and verified with the uploaded documents. On verification of the same, requisite services will be rendered to the applicant.
- Residence card copy both sides may also be uploaded in place of residence certificate at the portal.
- Please use remarks column in the portal to specify the requested service especially in case of attestation of passport and other documents.
- Please select correct option from the drop down menu in case of Attestation, Power of Attorney (POA) and Affidavit as per the requiremnent.
- If any document is apostilled, as the case may, please also upload the apostilled page among others for scrutiny and to avoid objection.
- For Birth registration of new born:
- Register the child birth here: https://indiancitizenshiponline.nic.in/initial?formcode=09
- After submtting the application and downloading Form-I, go to Indian consular services link and upload the relevant documents there and submit the application as per instructions given above. After scruitinizing the application by the Embassy, take appointment and visit the Embassy with following documents-
- Form-I as downloaded from Indian citizenship portal
- Birth certificate of the child (Original plus copy)
- Passports of both parents (Original plus copy)
- Residence permits (Original plus copy)
- Address cards (Original plus copy)
- Proof of Employment in Hungary
- Marriage certificate (Original plus copy)
- Clear Passport size photo of child

Please also follow requirements of the airlines for travel to India.
