Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) announces scholarship slots globally under different schemes at Indian Universities / Institutes for the academic year 2026-27.

Timeline for admission process:

27-February to 15-April-2026
Opening of Portal for students to apply

27-February to 30-April-2026
Opening of Portal for Universities to scrutinize the applications and upload provisional admission confirmation for selection by the Indian Missions

27-February to 15-May-2026
Opening of Portal for Indian Missions to initiate the selection process from the date they start receiving provisional admission confirmations from the Universities/Institutions and convey acceptance of students.

16-May to 10-June-2026
Second-round of selection for the Missions to generate offer letters against any vacant slots from the reserve list of candidates and convey their acceptance

Two scholarship schemes apply to Hungary, which are as follows:

1. Atal Bihari Vajpayee General Scholarship Scheme
2. Lata Mangeshkar Dance & Music Scholarship Scheme for pursuing study of Indian Culture such as dance, music, theatre, performing art, sculpture, Indian languages, Indian cuisine, etc.

(Please note - 

The Lata Mangeshkar scheme allows 2 applicants from Hungary to complete a 1-year yoga course at one of the four institutions listed:
Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (Haridwar)
Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute (Pune)
Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (Delhi)
S-VYASA (Bengaluru)

10 applicants can study performing arts under the same scheme.)
