Kedves India-barátok!
"A kulturális fejlődés és sokszínűség napja" (május 21.) alkalmából online programra invitálunk minden kedves érdeklődőt. A programban virtuális sétát teszünk indiai és magyar helyszíneken, amelyek kulturális örökségeiken keresztül összekapcsolják a két országot.
Hogy kerül herendi porcelán egy keralai kis múzeumba? Hol töltötte nyarait Amrita Sher-Gil, a híres magyar-indiai festőnő és miről nevezetes ma a Szepessy-villa? Hol lakott a tehetséges költő, a szanszkrit versek formahű fordításait készítő Weöres Sándor? De ellátogatunk Indiába is, az egyik legősibb városba, Benáreszbe; és hallhatunk a Chola dinasztiáról, illetve arról, hogyan is kapcsolódik a tamil nyelv Magyarországhoz...és egyéb érdekességek.
A program vegyes nyelvű lesz (magyar, angol és hindí), élő bejelentkezéssel és felvett anyagokkal.

On the occasion of the "World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development " (May 21), we invite all those interested to an online programme. In the event, we take a virtual tour of Indian and Hungarian locations that connect the two countries through their cultural heritage.
How does Herend porcelain end up in a small museum in Kerala? Where did Amrita Sher-Gil, the famous Hungarian-Indian painter, spend her summers and what is the Szepessy Villa famous for today? Where did the talented poet, Sándor Weöres, who made translations of Sanskrit poems, lived? But we also visit India, one of the most ancient cities, Benares; and we can hear about the Chola dynasty and how the Tamil language is related to Hungary ...
The program will be of mixed language (Hungarian, English and Hindi) with live check-in and recorded material.
Everybody is most welcome!
