Filmvetítés: Thinking of him (Őrá gondolok, 2018)
Az indiai-argentin film Rabindranath Tagore és az argentin írónő, Victoria Ocampo kapcsolatát mutatja be. A Magyarországon kevéssé ismert irodalmár korának egyik legkiemelkedőbb dél-amerikai nőalakja volt. A Pablo César rendezésében készült dráma a jelen és 1924 között váltakozva jeleníti meg az eseményeket (Tagore ekkor járt Argentínában Ocampónál). Victor Banerjee alakítja a Nobel-díjas indiai költőt, Eleonora Wexler pedig Ocampót személyesíti meg. A filmben feltűnik Héctor Bordoni és Raima Sen is.
Ocampo 1924-ben, Buenos Aires-i látogatása során vette pártfogásába Tagore-t, amikor dél-amerikai körútján megbetegedett. Az ekkor 34 éves Ocampo ismerte a költő írásait - azóta bálványozta, amióta olvasta az Áldozati énekek (Gítándzsali) francia fordítását. Mély és érzelmes, ám pusztán plátói kötelék alakult ki kettejük között, Tagore szeretettel szólította Ocampót Bijoya-ként, és néhány verset szentelt is neki az 1925-ös Purabi című könyvében. Tagore 1941-es haláláig folytatták a levélváltást.
„Ez a film nem arról szól, hogy mi mit gondolunk Tagore-ról. Arról szól, hogy Ocampo mit gondolt Tagore-ról, és hogy mit gondolnak róla az argentinok ”- mondta Victor Banerjee egy 2016-os interjújában.
A film a jelenben indul: a fiatalkorúak javítóintézetében tanító, megkeseredett földrajztanárnak a kezébe kerül egy könyv Tagore írásaival. Ez a könyv Felixet elvezeti egy másik könyvhöz - Ocampo beszámolójához a költővel való találkozásáról. A tanárt mindez teljesen elbűvöli, ezért hirtelen ötlettől vezetve Indiába utazik, hogy maga is megtapasztalja azt a tanítási módszert, amelyet Tagore az egész emberiség számára megálmodott.

Thinking of him (2018)
The name Rabindranath Tagore needs no introduction to anybody associated with India. The first Nobel Laureate of India, Tagore is a symbol of Bengali identity and culture. Two countries of the world use his compositions as their national songs. Tagore was foremost a poet, but he was also a gifted musician, a novelist and even a painter. His music combines Indian classical music, the ragas, with poetry to form his own unique style called Rabindra Sangeet.
Synopsis:
Two stories intertwine over the time. It explores Rabindranath Tagore’s relationship with Argentinian feminist, writer and activist Victoria Ocampo. The film opens with present times, with disenchanted Argentine geography teacher Felix, who stumbles on a book of poems and essays by Tagore. This leads him to another book, Tagore in the Ravines of San Isidro, which is Ocampo’s account of her interaction with the poet. The book makes Felix “feel even more like a prisoner in his own life,”. The teacher then flies to India the very next day, with the two books that affected him so profoundly. Ocampo, the first woman to become a member of the Argentine Academy of Letters, is said to have taken care of Tagore during his Bueno Aires visit in 1924, when he fell ill. The 34-year-old Ocampo was familiar with his writings and began to idolise him after she read the French translation of Gitanjali. The two are said to have formed a deep and emotional but platonic bond. Tagore fondly addressed her as Bijoya and dedicated some poems of 1925 book Purabi to her. The two continued to exchange letters till his death in 1941.In the meantime Felix visits India and experiences himself the teaching method at Shantiniketan that Tagore dreamed for all mankind. Alongside the story of platonic love between the Bengali Master and the young Argentina writer reaches a set point.They say goodbye for the last time, both going their own way but sharing a deep mutual admiration for each other. Whereas Felix undergoes an emotional journey while reading the books and experiencing the life at Shantiniketan.
