Mindenkit szeretettel várunk 2019. november 19-én (kedd) 18.00 órakor Sumeet Anand Pandey (Dhrupad) és Virágh Balázs (Pakhawaj) koncertjére az Amrita Sher-Gil Kulturális Központban.

A Dhrupad stílus, az indiai klasszikus zene legrégebbi ma is létező formája, ezen zenei hagyomány az indiai kultúra egyik fő öröksége. Eredete a szanszkrit szövegekhez, a Védákhoz kapcsolódik. A Dhrupad lényege nem a szórakoztatás, hanem egy meditatív, békés állapot elérése, melyben mély érzésekkel fordulhatunk Isten felé, játékosként és hallgatóként egyaránt.
Dhrupad: Sumeet Anand Pandey
Sumeet Anand Pandey gyorsan hírnevet szerzett magának Indiában , mint fiatal Dhrupad énekes. Mestere, Pandit Abhay Narayan Mallick (Padmashri Pandit Ram Chatur Mallick tanítványa) a Darbangha tradíció egyik legkíválóbb énekese. Fiatal éveiben két nagyapja, Shri Birendra Mohan Pandey és Padmashri Pandit Siyaram Tiwari kezdte zenei képzését.
Sumeet rengeteg kitünetést és zenei versenyt zsebelt be indiában, az All India Radio hivatalos zenésze Dhrupad Dhammar kategóriában. Az ICCR alapítvány tagja és zenésze, több koncertet adott világszerte és Indiában, többek közt 6 európai országban is.
Pakhawaj: Virágh Balázs
Balázs India egyik legkíválóbb pakhawaj mesterének, Pandit Mohan Shyam Sharma-nak tanítványa. Korábban tanult a magyar tabla virtuóz, Mótyán Tibor kezei alatt, illetve Pandit Rajesh Gangani tablamester tanította. Indiai és egyéb utazásai során mesterével, a tradícionális Guru-shisya parampara keretein belül tanulhatott, illetve megtisztelő lehetősége nyílt olyan világhírú zenészek tanításaiban részesülni, mint Pandit Rajeev Janardan, Pandit Dalchand Sharma, Pandit Nirmalya Dey vagy a 20. generációs Dagar testvérek.

Dhrupad (or Dhruvapad) is an ancient form of indian classical music, it's origin traces back to the SamVed. It is one of the core forms of classical music found all over the Indian subcontinent. The word comes from Dhruva which means immovable and permanent. It is spiritual, heroic, thoughtful, virtuous, embedding moral wisdom or solemn form of song-music combination.
As a vedic music the main goal of dhurpad was not to entertain, but to move the listener to a peaceful, spiritual and open state, where they can connect with God himself.
Dhrupad: Sumeet Anand Pandey
Sumeet Anand Pandey has fast emerged as a promising young Dhrupad vocalist in India. He belongs to the illustrious Darbhanga Dhrupad Tradition, tracing its origin to legendary Tansen (Gauhar Vani). A disciple of Pandit Abhay Narayan Mallick (SNA awardee and disciple of late Pandit Ram Chatur Mallick (PadmaShree, SNA awardee), last court musician to King of Darbhanga), he also received early training from his grandfather Shri Birendra Mohan Pandey and maternal grandfather late Pandit Siyaram Tiwari (PadmaShree, SNA Fellow). Sumeet has received numerous prestigious scholarships and awards for his work as a dedicated Dhrupadiya. He is All India Radio (AIR) graded artist in Dhrupad-Dhammar category of Hindustani Classical Vocal and broadcasts regularly from Delhi Centre. He is as empanelled artist of Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR). A sought-after soloist, Sumeet has performed in many prestigious musical festivals across India.
Pakhawaj: Balázs Virágh
Balázs is learning the art of Pakhawaj under the guideance of Guru Pandit Mohan Shyam Sharma, who is one of the leading Pakhawaj exponents of India. In the past he has started learning the art of Tabla from the hungarian tabla virtuoso, Tibor Mótyán, later he got the opportunity to learn under the guidance of Pandit Rajesh Gangani. During his journeys in India and Europe he had the honored privilige to learn in the Guru-shisya parampara system from Pandit Mohan Shyam Sharma, and to get lectures and lessons on indian classical music from world famous maestroes like Pandit Rajeev Janardan, Pandit Dalchand Sharma, Pandit Nirmalya Dey and the 20th generation Dagar Brothers.
