Egy gyermektelen házaspár egy napon megtalálja a csecsemő Sivát egy vízesésnél, és úgy döntenek, sajátjukként nevelik fel a kisdedet. A gyermekből az évek múltán erős férfi válik, akinek minden álma, hogy felmásszon a hegycsúcsra, ami még soha senkinek sem sikerült. Ám Siva elszánt, újra és újra próbálkozik, de sikertelenül. Akkor kap erőre, amikor megtalálja Avantiká, a rebellis harcos lány maszkját. A hegy tetején Siva később magába bolondítja a lányt, akit törzse arra választott ki, hogy megmentse a 25 éve rabságban tartott és láncra vert korábbi királynőt. Siva nem engedi, hogy szerelme ilyen veszélyes küldetésre menjen, ezért ő indul útnak, s szép lassan fény derül a fiú származására is...

A film – első telugu filmként – megnyerte a Nemzeti Filmgála Legjobb játékfilm és Legjobb speciális effektek díját; a telugu verzió tíz jelölésből pedig ötöt elnyert a 63. Dél-indiai Filmfare Díjátadón.

When Sanga and her husband, part of a tribe living around the province of Mahismathi, save a drowning infant, little do they know the background of the infant or what the future holds for him. The kid grows up to as Shivudu, a free-spirit wanting to explore the mountains and in the process learns of his roots and then realizes the whole purpose of his life and ends up confronting the mighty Bhallala Deva!
Bahubali – the beginning & Bahubali – the conclusion are epic Indian films that have received several accolades and won a number of awards across the world. The films have been by far the highest grocers in the history of Indian Cinema. The films circle around a rebellious warrior intending to rescue the former queen of the kingdom from the shackles of a tyrant ruler and the legendary saga of his father who was the erstwhile ruler himself. The films portray human virtues of loyalty, love, betrayal, deceit, hatred, bravery, monarchical conflict, benevolence, aristocratic legacy on a larger than life canvas adequately supported by colorful sequences of songs and dances.
