On the occasion of 77th Indian Independence Day celebrations, Amrita Sher-Gil Cultural Centre (ASCC), Embassy of India, Budapest is organising an Indo-European Youth Orchestra on 12 August 2023 at ASCC Auditorium. The Indo-European Youth Orchestra led by the Maestro Mr Michael Makhal will perform a blend of Western Classical and Indian Raag-based pieces, which will start with the National song of India "Vande Mataram"!!

About "Indo-European Youth Orchestra" -
Indo-European Youth Orchestra (IEYO) is the first Western Classical Chamber/Youth Orchestra from India that performed in Europe. The historic concert in Europe was held in Budapest, Hungary at the Danube Palace hall on 18 August 2019. Indo-European Orchestra presents a very likeable and interesting blend of repertoire of programme consisting of famous Western classical pieces as well as Indian folk and raga based compositions. IEYO is an ensemble of its own kind, known for its intercultural music performances. In their previous concerts, they have performed in Hungary with young and advanced musicians that included citizens of India, the USA, Australia, South Korea, the UK, and Hungary. It goes without saying, the Indo-European Chamber/Youth Orchestra has successfully made a mark for itself on the map of the globally known Chamber and Youth orchestras. The young talents return home with a treasure of knowledge, experience, and motivation unparalleled to anything. IEYO feels honored for the contribution they could make to the lives of these promising young performers.

A 77. indiai Függetlenség Napja alkalmából a budapesti Amrita Sher-Gil Kulturális Központ (Indiai Nagykövetség) szeretettel várja Önöket az Indoeurópai Ifjúsági Zenekar koncertjére 2023. augusztus 12-én az Amrita Sher-Gil Kulturális Központ Auditóriumában (1025 Budapest, Búzavirág u. 14.). Az Indo-Európai Ifjúsági Zenekar Mr. Michael Makhal vezetésével a nyugati klasszikus és az indiai rága-alapú darabok fúzióját adja elő. A program India nemzeti dalával, a "Vande Mataram"-mal kezdődik.
