Colors, laughter, and beautiful moments! Celebrating the spirit of joy, friendship, and togetherness this Holi. The Amrita Sher-Gil Cultural Centre (ASCC) of the Embassy of India in Budapest celebrated the vibrant Indian festival of Holi – the Festival of Colors – on 14 March 2026 at the Embassy premises. The celebration brought together members of the Indian community, friends of India, diplomats, journalists, and India lovers in a joyful gathering highlighting India’s rich cultural traditions.
As part of the International Womens Day celebrations, an engaging sports activity was organised at the scenic Margaret Island in Budapest, featuring cycling and running. The event brought participants together in a spirit of energy, teamwork, and positivity, aiming to promote physical well-being and encourage an active lifestyle. The day highlighted the power of sports in empowering women and girls and building stronger communities.
Indian Film Festival in Hungary - 10th edition
A hands-on workshop was organized at ASCC by Tabla Teacher Mr. Durgesh Kanwal introducing the concept of Taal (rhythmic cycles) in Indian classical music, with practical demonstrations and interactive learning for beginners and enthusiasts alike.
ASCC of the Embassy of India organised an engaging Kathak Dance Workshop focused on Nav Rasa - the nine emotions that form the core of Indian aesthetics and classical expression - led by ASCC’s Kathak Teacher Ms. Priya Garg
