ICCR’s Scholarship to study in India under Education Exchange Programme in the Academic Year 2018-19

The Embassy of India, Budapest is pleased to announce that the Indian Council for Cultural Relations(ICCR), New Delhi has offered scholarships to meritorious student for either undergraduate (Bachelors degree), Masters Degree or a Doctoral programme under ICCR’s General Scholarship Scheme (GSS) for the year 2018-19. The selected candidate will be provided a scholarship package to cover tuition/ college fees and a part of the cost of boarding & lodging in India for the duration of studies/research work in a recognized Indian University or higher educational institution. The cost of air travel from Budapest to India is to be borne by the selected Student.

Interested candidates, with good knowledge of English, may apply for either undergraduate (Bachelors degree), Master Degree or a Doctoral programme in any field of study except medical courses and studies related to medicine. For science courses, the expenditures on laboratory chemicals and other incidental charges will have to be borne by the applicant.

Tagore Research Fellowship
In order to strengthen the Indo-European Studies Department, India has established a Tagore Research Fellowship on Indology and Indian Studies at Department of Indo-European Studies, ELTE University, Budapest with effect from the academic year beginning in 2007. The Fellowship is financed by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), India.  In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding between the ICCR and the ELTE University, Budapest was signed on February 16, 2007 at ELTE University, Budapest.
