The All India Glass Manufacturers Federation (AIGMF) is pleased to announce its annual contest for Youth: 1st Poem / Essay Writing Contest on ‘Green as Glass’ or कांच और पर्यावरण, as part of the celebrations for the International Year of Glass (IYOG2022).
The contest is open to Youth between 7-24 years with full details available at https://aigmf.com/ including details of most recent events organised in India and world over under past events, Glass News and Kanch (quarterly publication of AIGMF). There is no word limit and restrictions on entries (except one per applicant) that could be sent from any part of the world meeting criteria under terms and conditions. Entries could be sent in English or Hindi languages.
Starting with the January-March issue of Kanch, AIGMF would be publishing 13 chapters in 4 parts till Oct-Dec 2022 issues from the book ‘Welcome to the Glass Age’ edited by Prof. Alicia Durán and Prof. John M. Parker of the IYOG2022 Organizing Committee aimed at Celebrating the United Nations International Year of Glass 2022. Educational Institutions are invited to be a part of IYOG 2022 who in turn could adopt a week or day to celebrate the International Year of Glass by organizing activities for the Youth i.e. display of Touring Exhibitions, Debate or Essay writing on Glass as eco-friendly material, Quiz contests, Drawing Competitions, etc. AIGMF Secretariat could be contacted at info@aigmf.com who could provide a suitable speaker and other necessary support as appropriate.
Entries for the Poem/Essay contest are invited online at info@aigmf.com by July 25, with results to be announced on the International Youth Day on August 12, 2022.
