Mahátma Gandhi - Fényfestés a Budai Vár falán

Örömmel hívjuk meg Önöket egy különleges eseményre, amelyet 2018. október 2-án rendezünk Budapesten.

Mahátma Gandhi születésének közelgő 150. évfordulója alkalmából (1869. október 2. - 1948. január 30.) az Indiai Nagykövetség az elkövetkező évben több nagyszabású projektet és rendezvényt szervez. Az egyik ilyen esemény 2018. október 2-án a Budai Vár fényfestése, emlékezvén a kivételes és mindenki számára inspiráló szellemi vezetőre. A Vár falára Gandhi életének legfontosabb pillanataiból, inspiráló idézetekből és képekből összeállított kisfilmet vetítünk, amely este 19.00 és hajnal 2.00 óra között lesz látható. Háttérzeneként a híres bhadzsan (ima), a Vaishnava Jana Toh hangszeres változatát választottuk, amelyet a 15. századi költő, Narsinh Mehta írt gudzsaráti nyelven. A bhadzsan szerepelt Mahátma Gandhi napi imájában is.

Az esemény célja, hogy rávilágítson Mahátma Gandhi életének olyan kezdeményezéseire és tanításaira, amelyek ma is érvényesek és alkalmazhatóak, és amelyek ihletet adnak a mi nemzedékünk számára is, hogy jobb emberekké válhassunk.

Mindenkit sok szeretettel várunk október 2-án este, sétáljanak el a Duna-partra és nézzék meg a Gandhi-képeket a Budai Vár falán.

Dear Friends of India!

We are happy to invite you to a very special event to be held on 2 October, 2018 in Budapest. 

To celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi (2 October 1869 – 30 January 1948) on 2 October, 2018, Embassy of India organizes several projects and events to remember him during the year. The signature event for the public will be the light painting on Buda Castle to represent the exceptional and inspiring leader with slides consisting of prominent and key moments taken from Gandhi ji’s life, his inspiring quotes, everyday sayings, discourses and initiatives presented in spectacular visual narrative. The slides will be interwoven with the instrumental music version of the renowned song - “Vaishnava Jana Toh”, one of the most popular bhajans, written in the 15th century by the poet Narsinh Mehta in Gujarati language. The bhajan was included in Mahatma Gandhi’s daily prayers.

The event aims to highlight the initiatives and lessons from Mahatma Gandhi’s life that are relevant and applicable in today’s times and that inspire our generation to be a better version of ourselves.

Everyone is most welcome to take a walk along the banks of Danube on 2 October facing Buda Castle and watch this beautiful projection.
