Visvász özvegy anyja arról álmodozik, hogy fiából egyszer rendőrtiszt lesz. A férfinak azonban más tervei vannak. Ő ugyanis filmsztár szeretne lenni. Mikor végre eljut Mumbaíba, a filmgyártás fellegvárába, a rendőrségi alkalmassági vizsga helyett egy neves forgatókönyvíróhoz megy, hogy beindulhasson filmes karrierje. Visvász egy fotózáshoz pont rendőrnek van beöltözve, amikor Kádzsal, a szociálisan érzékeny aktivista lány rendőrnek nézi és belekeveri egy autós üldözésbe. Visvász rendőri alakítása olyan jól sikerül, hogy nem is tud szabadulni a szereptől. Közben anyja is a nagyvárosba utazik, hogy meggyőződjön róla, hogy fia jó munkát végez a rendőrök között.

After Vishwas Rao is raised up by his Mother, who apparently dreams for him to become a Police Inspector. However, he has different plans in mind. Vishwas wants to become a film hero. Dressed as a Police Inspector for a photo shoot, he meets social worker Kajal during a car chase. Kajal mistakes him as an inspector and thanks him for helping her catch the goons, while Vishwas plays along. He is mistakenly published in the newspaper as an Inspector, which Savitri sees. She arrives in Mumbai to see her dream come true, and circumstances lead Vishwas to carry on his lie not only to Kajal, but also to his mother. Will the dream of Vishwas’ mother come true, or will he become a film hero?
