A belépés ingyenes.

Mindenkit nagy szeretettel várunk!

Film:Csak egyszer élsz (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, 2011)

rendezte: Zoya Akhtar

szereplők: Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif, Kalki Koechlin

Dear India lovers,

The first Film Club screening of the autumn semester is scheduled for Friday, 6 September 2019. We are hosting a special event; after the film – as part of an international research project – the audience will have the opportunity to engage in a fascinating conversation with the translators of the films screened at our Film Club events. They will talk about all the behind-the-scenes secrets of translating and subtitling Indian movies – all the joys, the struggles they face with the language and the dilemmas they have to solve – and they are all open to receive and answer all your questions. The talk will touch on the linguistic challenges the translation of lyrics present, the problems of formal and informal speech, etc. Also, the aim of the interactive discussion is for the translators to learn the audience’s experiences, expectations and opinions about the subtitled movies. At the end of the program, our guests may fill out a one-page, anonymous questionnaire, on a volunteer basis to help the research project and the work of our translators.

Entry is free!
Everyone is most welcome!
