Dear Friends of India,

The eighth edition of the Diplomatic Fair, organised by the Diplomatic Spouses of Budapest, under the patronage of Mrs. Anita HERCZEGH, Spouse of the President of the Republic of Hungary, will take place on 2 December, 2018, at the Intercontinental Budapest Hotel. Embassy of India also participates in the programme. Time of Indian cultural programmes are:

11.00: Sangam..the Confluence

The Amrita Sher-Gil Cultural Center is presenting a confluence of the traditional dance form Kathak by Sonali Roy with Yoga by Ankita Sood accompanied by melodious music given by Rajesh Gangani on Tabla and Violin by Zoltan Lantos. This confluence would be supported by poetry of two eminent 20th century HINDI poets rendered by Ms Tanuja Shankar. The performance depicts the awakening of sensibilities and minds in today's strife ridden society where the dawn of sun is likened to awakening of soul, and a confluence of ideas, hearts, sensibilities.

12.30: Bharatanatyam dance performance – Somi Panni and Sivasakti Kalánanda Theatre

The Shivashakti Kalananda Dance Theatre presents 3 items in the style of Bharatanatyam, the classical dance form of South India.
The first item is a prayer, traditional theme but modern presentation, the second dance is a contemporary choreography on a now popular song on Shiva, the God of dance and the last one is a Tillana, a fast, lively technical item of Bharatanatyam.
